Writer Frank Sargeson was born Norris Davey in Hamilton in 1903. In the late 1920s he got a job with the Public Trust in Wellington. By day Davey worked at the Trust and by night he enjoyed cruising the toilets and beats of Wellington. In 1929 he testified in court against Leonard Hollobon after they shared a consensual sexual encounter.
