Generous funding from the Netherlands has allowed for people from nine different countries to receive scholarships to help them attend the AsiaPacific Outgames in Wellington this March. Fifteen travel scholarships have been provided to people from South Pacific countries. Called The Netherlands Fund, the scholarships cover return airfares to Wellington from the applicant's country of residence, as well as accommodation, meals and conference registration. “This funding has meant that the conference can have a broader representation from countries in the Pacific region,” says Outgames Conference Convenor, Barry Taylor. The Human Rights Conference of the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames will be held March 16-18, in Wellington, New Zealand. You can find the full conference programme, and register to attend, at http://www.wellingtonoutgames.com/ Registrations close 26 February.
