A Northland woman has been found guilty of arson after burning down her former partner's Bay of Islands home because she started seeing another woman. The Northern Advocate reports Tania Dickinson, 34, of Kaikohe, was found guilty of arson after a three-day trial in Kaikohe District Court this week. The prosecution said Dickinson set fire to the rented house at Haruru Falls, near Paihia, in August 2009 after her ex- partner started seeing another woman. Dickinson will be sentenced in Whangarei on December 10. The partner's name has been suppressed.
