Guests at the Masquerade Ball The organisers of the Cartier Trust Masquerade Ball are still doing the calculations on how much money the event raised, but are sending their thanks to everyone who made it an incredible night. The group, which helps families cope when they lose loved ones as a result of HIV-related illnesses, held a plush event St Matthews in the City in Auckland on Saturday night. Among the items which went under the hammer in its charity auction were dinner for six cooked by renowned English chef Angus McLean, a holiday for six a in Port Douglas and a luxury trip to Bali for up to ten people. There were also a number of items up for silent auction, including a signed tie from Prime Minister John Key, a signed Mike Tyson boxing glove and a bottle of Stonyridge Vintage Larose 2008. Cartier Trust Founder and Trustee Karen Ritchie is expressing thanks who all those who supported the night by attending, donating items or helping out on the night. She says the entertainment was stunning and the food was delicious and everyone had a wonderful evening.
