Lesbians In Charge again at K' Road's Kamo

Tue 26 Jan 2010 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Women are again taking control of K' Road's gay-owned bar Kamo this Friday, when its Lesbians In Charge night returns. L.I.C.'s poster, designed by Kestin Stewart "It's a new year and what better way to start it than dancing those back to work blues away with our special guest DJ Mauri," L.I.C. organiser Robyn Vella tells GayNZ.com. The monthly L.I.C. nights began in March last year, as a chilled-out low-key event where women can chat, drink and dance, she says. "Just be yourself and come for a good time." The event takes place from 9pm on the last Friday of each month at the bar. There is no door charge. "Come and support the night for humans whose preferred format is women," invites Vella.
