GABA fights the recession with cash grants

Despite cold weather and ongoing recession woes, last night's monthly networking meeting of Auckland's Gay Business Association was well attended, with many more people than usual packing Newmarket's Urban Café. Attendees were treated to a complimentary free drink provided by the team from ANZ Bank, who spoke about their LGBT advocacy, support networks, and encouragement of diversity within the bank's staff. The GABA Trust's Chair Geoffrey Marshall presented over $10,000 to several LGBT organizations who had applied for grants for new projects.
