Mon 23 Feb 2009 In: International News View at Wayback

A man has threatened to 'out' an Australian MP by putting a secretly-filmed video of them having sex onto the internet. Jake Della-Vedova, 25, told the married politician - who he met on a gay dating website - that he would release the video onto the net unless he was paid AUS$15,000 (NZ$18,980), reports the Sydney Morning Herald. Della-Vedova, who lives in Sydney, has pleaded guilty to a charge of blackmail, and facing a maximum of 15 years in jail. He will be sentenced on Friday. The identity of the MP has been suppressed.
