This is what passes for a gay community event in Paihia: You sing and dnace to It's Raining Men on a street corner. This group call themselves the Christian Singing Family, and they are coming to brighten up a street near you. "This is a gay street performance troupe I've come up with, it's to increase camp awareness, and spread our love and fun for the whole world," says the group's ringleader Stanley Manthyng, who proudly sent us the video shown below. "We will be performing in Auckland in the near future, probably Ponsonby Road on a street corner." Ponsonby – consider this your first and final warning.
