Portugal's parliament has rejected two proposals to overturn an existing ban on gay marriage. Two minor opposition parties had offered up the Bills, but were outvoted by a large conservative majority, reports Reuters. Gay equality groups are vowing to continue the fight for equal rights, saying they suffer discrimination. Around thirty people protested outside parliament, staging two mock weddings.
