Work begins on capital's gay 'Club Ivy'

The leaseholder of Wellington's former Imerst nightclub plans to open a new two-level gay club there next month. Imerst today: The old bar has been ripped out "The plans are drawn up, work has begun, and the place will look quite different when it reopens," says Greig Wilson, who also owns Wellington dance party venue SubNine. Wilson is aiming to open Club Ivy in mid-August.
