The Glamazons' new video footage stolen

Wellington's drag troupe The Glamazons are "in major panic mode" after footage from their new video - which they say is their most ambitious yet - has been stolen. Lost: The Glamazons' latest video will be delayed Andy Boreham, also known as The Glamazons' Natasha Crowe, returned home after four days working in the South Island to find a window kicked in and muddy footprints throughout the house. Further investigation revealed that, among other things, a video camera with a tape inside had been taken. The video for Disappear, which has been filmed across Wellington over the past few weeks, was to be the troupe's most ambitious video to date - but now much of the video will need to be shot again, says Boreham. The Glamazons have been hyping up the online debut of this video, the first time they have launched a video in this way, on their Bebo page this week, ahead of its live performance at Hamilton's Fuel Festival in July. "This is a real blow to us and our marketing plan," says Aaron Hailwood, who is La Toya Jacksin in The Glamazons. "We take our image and marketing very seriously, and now won't be able to re-shoot the missing scenes for a number of weeks due to other commitments." The police are currently investigating the burglary, however Boreham holds little hope that the footage will be recovered. "It sounds like this was the work of some kids," Boreham says. "I just wish, whoever it was, that they could return that footage. A camera can be replaced, hours of work cannot." 'Teardrops', a recent video from The Glamazons, is shown below.
