Helen Clark's speech at the Big Gay Out 2008

Wed 26 Mar 2008 In: Worth Checking Out View at Wayback View at NDHA

"Enjoy the acts, enjoy being together, celebrate, be proud… have a great Big Gay Out!" Our Prime Minister speaks at Auckland's biggest outdoor LGBT event each year. Here's her speech on stage in February 2008, where she reminds the crowd of Labour's record on LGBT issues including Civil Unions, promises to advance Hate Crime legislation, and acknowledges the work of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation in spreading their condom message. Helen Clark is followed by a brief speech from Rainbow Labour MP Chris Carter. Matt Akersten - 26th March 2008
