Opinions are divided over the causes of disappointing ticket sales for some of major events of Melbourne's annual Midsumma LGBT Festival this year, with turnouts substantially lower than last year and several events facing last-minute cancellation. Organisers cite too much competition for limited attendees, costs of events and last-minute ticket purchases.
