LGBT bowling night for South Auckland

Sat 17 Mar 2007 In: New Zealand Daily News

No prior bowling experience is required to be part of a new night for the queer community based in South Auckland, says co-organiser Richard Clowes. Beginning on Thursday 22nd March at 8pm, the new weekly social ten-pin bowling night will be run by Andrew and Richard - who for some years ran the Gay Bowling night in Christchurch's Garden City Bowl. “F.A.B. bowling isn't a league, just a safe, fun and all-inclusive social night for individuals or groups of friends to come and enjoy a drink and a bowl in the South Auckland region on a Thursday evening, as there is currently so little on for the community in the South of Auckland,” says Clowes. Join the F.A.B. bowlers at SuperStrike Manukau, 573 Great South Road – two minutes North of Manukau Mall. LGBT bowling groups also currently meet at Takapuna Tenpin on Auckland's North Shore at 4.45pm each Sunday, and Wellington's The Lanes Bowling Lounge Sunday evenings from 7pm.     Ref: (m)
