Palmerston North's LGBT nightclub ‘Club Mystic' will hold its ‘Mr Gay Manawatu' pageant this Saturday night, with $1,000 worth of prizes for the winner. “Great Prizes include a six-month gym membership, a brand new guitar with a learn to play DVD, a haircut and colour, and flights and two nights' accommodation in Auckland. We also have spot prizes to be given away on the night to lucky people in the audience,” says Club Mystic manager Tim Elliot. The first round of the contest will start at 12 midnight this Saturday. “If you haven't got your entry in yet, get to Club Mystic this Thursday, Friday or early Saturday night and complete your entry form,” suggests Elliot. A $4 cover charge applies between 11.30pm and 2.30am – but Club Mystic's signed-up members get in free all night. Future events planned include a ‘Mystic Cowboy Party', on Saturday 24th March, Elliot reveals. “Come along in your cowboy get up and go in the draw to win great prizes including $20 Bar tabs and six packs of beers".
