Georgina Beyer left Parliament last night, but it's not the last time we'll see her – not only does she have a starring role on stage at Dunedin's Fortune Theatre next week, but she has now also revealed plans for a movie about her amazing life. Under the working title ‘Girl', the movie is in its second draft script, with the company seeking funding in New Zealand and in Australia, reports the Dominion Post. So who will be cast as the leading lady on screen? "Oh gosh. Halle Berry perhaps? If not, I hope it will be a New Zealand actor," says Beyer. She has also repeatedly said she might run for Mayor of Wellington in the local body elections later this year. Her role in the Fortune Theatre production of ‘Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks' runs from 23 February until 17 March 2007. Ref: Dominion Post (m)
