Gorgeous kissers needed in Wellington

Wed 9 Feb 2005 In: New Zealand Daily News

The organisers of Gorgeous are calling on members of the Wellington's glbt community to volunteer their lips for kissing booths at the upcoming Gorgeous street paryy. The Wellington festival will have two kissing booths running, but they need more volunteers to sit in them, according to spokesperson Stevie Wildewood “We're certain that there are a few lovely men and women out there that'd like to pucker up to help out this worthy cause.” She adds that a few more tiody up volunteers are sought as well. “Although it's not as glamorous, we could also do with a few more people to help clean up afterwards.” Gorgeous was instigated to “increase pride and support for the queer community” following heated debate during the civil union discussions. It will run from midday through to early evening in Manners Mall, on Saturday 19 February. Volunteers can contact Sarah Helm on 027 303 8999.
