An investigation into the publication of a book on the lives of takatāpui people remains on-going with no resolution of the problem which saw it withdrawn from public distribution just hours before its planned official launch. The high-production-value book Takatāpui celebrates a wide range of takatāpui lives. It is, GayNZ.com Daily News understands, subject to a complaint regarding the use of some material, apparently without a 'contributor's' consent. The NZ AIDS Foundation, which oversaw the creation of the landmark publication and had hoped to officially launch it at November's national Hui Takatāpui, says the matter remains under continuing investigation.
