Boy George to perform in Chch and Ak

Re-formed Brit band Culture Club fronted by gay singer and DJ Boy George will be performing in Christchurch Auckland in December. When it formed in 1981 it broke through several music industry barriers by being the first multi-racial band and the first to have an openly-gay lead singer/frontman. Hits included Karma Chameleon and they were the first band since the Beatles to have three USA top ten hits from one album. Culture Club with Boy George will perform at Christchurch's Horncastle Arena on December 2 and Auckland's Vector Arena on December 4nd.
