Tue 23 Feb 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

A Trans* Hui and workshops will be held pre-Proud Conference in Wellington, exclusively for trans and intersex members of the LGBTI community. The free event is open to people regardless of their attendance at the Proud Conference and will run for a full day. The event features a panel discussion on trans rights in the Oceania region, with six panelists representing diverse cultures across the region and interactive sessions featuring speakers covering aspects of trans health. Topics include sexual health, safe access to trans specific health care, mental health and transitioning. A two part youth session will be a chance for youth to present the issues they face and for elders in the community to present the issues they see trans youth are struggling with. For more information, check out the Proud Conference website. Trans* Hui and Workshops Wednesday 9 March Wellington
