Recognising the unique perspectives of all Pacific nations, this year the Love Life Fono is marking it’s 10th anniversary of celebrating, supporting and advocating for gender and sexually diverse Pacific communities in New Zealand and the broader Pacific region. The Fono recognises the unique perspectives among all Pacific nations, and offers an important opportunity to gather as a collective voice on the affairs that impact the lives of Pacific LGBTI people, enrich their cultural experiences and impact their future potential. This years theme ‘Navigating our vaka’ looks at what the next ten years holds for these communities, how foundations can be built on and how positive and effective change for the future can be achieved.
