Presbyterians avoid gay issue again

The Presbyterian Church has rejected a motion from the Wellington Presbytery that it set up a committee to investigate the church`s position on gay ministers. 59.7 per cent of delegates at its general assembly voted against the proposal. he lesbian minister of St Andrews on The Terrace, the Rev Margaret Mayman says she is disappointed. "It's very difficult for the church to speak to society when society sees it discriminating against a group of people."
