Tue 10 Feb 2015 In: International News

Openly-gay singer Sam Smith has taken home four Grammys, including Record of the Year. The 22-year-old Brit also won song of the year, best new artist and best pop vocal album. In his speech, Smith thanked the man who broke his heart and inspired his album. "I want to thank the man who this record is about. Thank you so much for breaking my heart because you got me four Grammys." Earlier, he stated: "Before I made this record, I was doing everything to try to get my music heard... I tried to lose weight and I was making awful music. It was when I started to be myself that the music flowed."
