Rainbow Wellington congratulates Little

Wed 19 Nov 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News

Rainbow Wellington is congratulating Andrew Little on his appointment as Labour Party leader, and says it will pass on condolences to Grant Robertson. Little beat the openly-gay Labour MP in a close leadership race. Rainbow Wellington says it's committed to pushing for cross-party working groups for reforms in areas such as adoption and transgender rights. “As a non-party group with Vice Patrons in the three main political parties, National, Labour and the Greens, we would like to make sure that the reforms do happen and we are willing to assist in changing legislation in parliament to help benefit these changes,” says Chair Rawa Karetai. “We hope that Andrew Little and Labour’s agenda maintain and allow us to continue the work we have been doing already.”
