UK: Gay grandfather beaten to death

Ronald Hayes was 63 A 63-year-old gay man has died following an attack outside a gay bar in the English city of Chester, near the Welsh border. Ronald Hayes died in hospital last week as a result of injuries he sustained in the attack outside the Liverpool Arms Bar, around 12.50AM last Saturday. A post mortem shows the Northumberland man died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head. Two men, both aged 26, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. It's reported they had also been in the bar during the evening of the attack. Hayes’ family describes him as "a doting partner, father and grandfather whose spirit and energy was infectious. He had a drive for life that outweighed his years. We are all deeply saddened."
