Tue 19 Mar 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News

Jan Logie, Louisa Wall and Tau Henare Lesbian MPs Louisa Wall and Jan Logie are off to Ecuador with National MP Tau Henare, to represent New Zealand at the 128th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly, where they will continue to push for global homosexual law reform. At the group’s meeting in Uganda last year, the trio played a key part in an international push to urge Ugandan leaders to get rid of the nation's proposed anti-gay legislation. “We will continue to push issues around human rights including indigenous representation and global homosexual law reform,” Louisa Wall said ahead of the trip. “I will unfortunately miss the Committee stages of my Bill but it is important that the process continues and the Bill progresses.”
