Cyclists to ride with pride to Big Gay Out

Sun 10 Feb 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

A group of cyclists will ride in style to today’s Big Gay Out, proudly swarming through the city and to Pt Chevalier with rainbow flair. Organised by Auckland local board representative Christopher Dempsey, the Cycle Pride Auckland team will set off from the War Memorial Museum in the Domain at “11 sharp”. “We will ride as a group,” Dempsey says in his instructions. Other riders will join from Western Park and Coxs Bay carpark, after which there will be a pit stop at Garnet Station Café. “Remember sunscreen, some water, and a hat for when you get off the bike,” Dempsey advises.
