Homophobes' claim against Madonna thrown out

Fri 23 Nov 2012 In: International News

A Russian court has thrown out a US$10 million compensation claim by anti-gay activists, who said Madonna hurt their feelings by promoting homosexuality at a St Petersburg concert. In a concert the global pop star performed with the words "No Fear" on her back, criticising a law adopted in March that imposed fines for spreading homosexual "propaganda". Judge Vitaly Barkovsky did not explain his decision but also ruled the activists should compensate legal expenses to companies which organised Madonna's concert.
