Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker in Cloudburst Lesbian romp Cloudburst has been voted Best Feature Film at the 2012 Out Takes festival Audience Awards. The Thom Fitzgerald-directed film features Olympia Dukakis as a strong-willed, foul-mouthed but also tender-hearted lesbian who is dealing with the ailing health of her long-time partner, played by Brenda Fricker. The couple embarks on a haphazard road trip to get married in Canada, pick up a young male hitchhiker, and endless comedic and dramatic twists and turns ensue. Out Takes viewers loved it, as evidenced by their comments: "Absolutely, positively not just one of the best queer films I've ever seen, this is in my top 40 films of all time!"
