Further action by a lesbian couple who say they were thrown out of a lesbian bar for kissing is in limbo, after the release of CCTV footage and the massive publicity the case has garnered has taken its toll. Public bar owner Gina Mills has shown selected media CCTV footage from the night and tells GayNZ.com” “We have extensive CCTV footage of them which proved they were being untruthful I’m glad the truth prevails”. However according the Dominion Post, which has seen the footage only shows the couple ‘kissing affectionately and hugging’: The couple remained at the bar kissing each other affectionately and hugging, before moving to a corner of the bar out of view of security cameras. At 2.55am a doorman approached the couple in the corner and asked them to leave, with the pair exiting the bar quickly. Galbraith is seen questioning the doorman on the street, then Leadbeater goes back into the bar to retrieve a cardigan she left behind.Mills maintains the pair were behaving “in an inappropriate manner in the corner of the bar”. It's understood the couple is reconsidering whether to go ahead with any action.
