Text:Former Queer Nation host and ex-pat Kiwi Max Currie is set to shoot his first feature, The Rooftop, in New York this October. It follows the story of Alex, a young Australian who arrives in New York to live with his corporate lawyer boyfriend and encounters Frank, a sexy but volatile gay-for-pay rentboy, who will force Alex to question whether the life he has is the life he really wants. 24-year-old Max left New Zealand late last year for New York to pursue a career in film, after spending two years as a presenter on Queer Nation.
