Text:Popular Wellington bar and nightclub Pound turns 3 this Saturday, and is celebrating with a Psychedelic 60s themed party, with spot prizes to be given away, including a trip to Australia. Pound owners Malcolm and Scott Kennedy-Vaughan captured media attention earlier this year when they were married in a live ceremony on the ZM radio network, after being chosen out of six gay and lesbian couples by ZM listeners. Last month. Pound hosted the Ms Gay Downunder competition, which made headlines around the world after local newspapers reported that winner Bindie Redden was booed for looking “too straight”.
