Text:Gay parents will soon be able to name their partners as legal co-guardians of their children, including those conceived through fertility techniques, provided both partners are consenting. The changes have been announced as part of a new bill, the Care of Children bill, which replaces the 1968 Guardianship Act, a law Associate Justice Minister Lianne Dalziel says "does not reflect the diversity of family arrangements that now exist".
