Text:The cult movie Queen Of The Whole Wide World won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at Out Takes 2003. Due to unprecedented demand for repeat screenings the Out Takes organisers, Reel Queer Inc, have brought it back especially to coincide with the Wellington Gay and Lesbian Fair. This is a pageant and a documentary like no other! Follow the trials, tribulations and on- and off-stage antics of seven semi-finalists competing for the title of Queen of the Whole Wide World - a spoof of international beauty pageants featuring gravity-defying hairstyles, insane costumes, outrageous send-ups of national stereotypes and over-the-top choreography.
