Text:Ellen is all geared up (Picture: ABC) The world's most famous lesbian Ellen DeGeneres has been warming up for the Oscars by filling her Twitter feed with ridiculous puns using the names of famous actors. “Anyone know (Emma) Watson TV in 2 days? The #Oscars! I just spent a lot of (Robert) De Niro at my tailor. I hope I get my (Chris) Hemsworth,” is among the contributions. There are also plenty of jokes which indicate her presenting will be somewhat tamer than Seth MacFarlane’s last year: "I'm very excited @Pharrell's performing his big hit "Happy" at the #Oscars. Spoiler alert: I'll be hiding in his hat." It will be DeGeneres' second time hosting the Academy Awards, after a successful first outing in 2007. The comedian and actress turned talk show titan is clearly hoping it’s not her last Oscars gig, stating "You know what they say - the third time's the charm.” Dear Pink: Please do something like this. Pink's many lesbian fans will be eagerly awaiting her performance - but what she's actually going to sing is being kept a secret. We're hoping for some of her aerial acrobatics though! Bette Midler is among the other music acts, while there are rumours Liza Minnelli and Lorna Luft will take part in a tribute to The Wizard Of Oz. There is scant presence within the actual Oscar nominations however, with Jared Leto's both lauded and panned role as a transgender woman with AIDS in Dallas Buyers Club the main talking point. He’s nominated for Best Supporting Actor. His co-star Matthew McConaughey is up for Best Actor for his role as an initially transphobic and homophobic straight man. When diagnosed as HIV positive he leads a bunch of misfits in a crusade to buy life-saving anti-viral medication. Gay fave Judi Dench is among the Best Actress nominees for her role in the film Philomena, which includes a gay sub-plot. Despite some reports, commended French lesbian flick Blue is the Warmest Colour wasn’t actually snubbed in the nominations, but will be eligible next year, due to its late release in France. However actresses Léa Seydoux nor Adèle Exarchopoulos apparently could have been nominated, and their absence is something critics have slated. Meanwhile, the Razzies have been handed out, with Tyler Perry (in drag) winning worst actress for A Madea Christmas, a holiday comedy which has been widely panned. Will and Jaden Smith in After Earth and Movie 43 were the other big losers, or winners, depending on how you want to look at it. The 86th Annual Academy Awards are on Sky Movies Premiere at 2.30pm, with the red carpet hoo-ha on E! from 11.30am.  Jacqui Stanford - 3rd March 2014
