Text:Auckland Miss Ribena is ready for a loooong weekend! With Family the only gay nightclub left in Auckland – and recently named among Metro’s best bars to boot – it’s more than likely to be packed this long weekend! The K’ Rd venue will be in full swing with hostess Miss Ribena presenting an extra special sexy Sunday night with complete with males trippers and gogo boys, DJs Danielle and Stella Roadkill, It’s also Miss Roadkill’s birthday so it will be extra festive! If you prefer hearing people sing for their supper, then the pub space next door is hosting Queereoke from 9PM on Sunday night. Across the road Eagle Bar is great for a quiet drink, and a raucous one later on as you enjoy bar staff dancing on the bar and vetoing your bad song choices on the jukebox! A few blocks from K Rd, cruise club Lateshift gives you a chance to go incognito with a masks and hoods night on Monday night 'till 9am. For those who want to hide their identity colour-coded loaner hoods for tops, bottoms and versatiles will be available at the door. On Sunday night they're giving free admission to students all night! Hamilton Shine is the place to be of course! 161 Victoria Street … so shine on you crazy diamonds! Palmerston North MALGRA is celebrating a massive 35 years! On Friday it has, of all things, a hypnotist, while Saturday will feature special shows with debuts the Club Q crew promise you don’t want to miss! There will also be a (FREE) BBQ on Sunday so you can all recover. Door charges for the weekend are: $12 each night or $20 for a weekend pass.
