And it's been overwhelming the number that are here and the friends we have made from other parts of the Pacific. [00:00:29] Have you been down here all week? [00:00:30] Yes. Or arrived here Friday night, and I'm hitting off back to Hamilton tomorrow morning. [00:00:37] So what have been the highlights for you? [00:00:39] Well, the biggest highlight for me was the human rights on the Tuesday when we had over 100 transgender people there, and we mixed up and had a good time. That was one of the mind blowing, but yes, on into how the whole wake was good. [00:01:02] Have you been out to any cultural events or some of the exhibitions around town? [00:01:07] I've seen it well. I've seen the same nothing exhibition. I saw that in the movie. No need to go to this. And I've got the video now so I can watch it when I got home. [00:01:21] Did you go to the opening of the exhibition? Yes, I [00:01:23] went in Hamilton, the Waikato museum mate and told us we had to go and make a digital story of my transition YouTubers. And I've just donated the child the story on Thursday afternoon here and donated the story and the storyboard that I made up to the to the archives. [00:01:50] And will you will you involved with the opening ceremony for the games? [00:01:55] Yes, obviously on Saturday and that was great to [00:02:00] How's that? How's that to be involved with 1500 other gay lesbian transgender bisexual people [00:02:05] it's marvelous it you know it's great to be able to come out and enjoy oneself without being [00:02:13] tied up [00:02:16] well they [00:02:18] enjoy enjoying meeting the others as well. from all over the Pacific Rim Yeah, on me that was quite a few Indians and my great friends and will be gone when I get home we'll be adding them to the Facebook page. [00:02:37] What about the parties? Have you been to any of the parties? Yeah, [00:02:39] yeah, I'm gonna know the last one the night and our national at Camille [00:02:46] didn't stay too long. I was getting tired [00:02:50] been a hard week [00:02:53] so help the party's been a bit of they've been well attended. [00:02:56] Yes, I have [00:02:59] the single was within the hour and whatever began to the real revolution the not [00:03:09] been done sleeping for the bus in the morning. [00:03:13] So what do you think the best part of this whole week's been about [00:03:17] getting together of all the people of the different diversity and being able to speak up problems. And we get to go back now and what we can do to try and help others get the countries to you know, toe the line as it will discrimination and violence. [00:03:45] Some of those countries, some of the rights violations were pretty horrific only. [00:03:49] Yeah, very good, especially hearing the story of the young, Nepalese boy who got fired from the army. It was an amazing story. I haven't heard that one. What was that about? But he was his [00:04:05] father. [00:04:07] He got he was in the Nepalese army. And nice, true amount. From what I could gather, he got very limited English. And he was thrown in jail because of his transition from female to male. [00:04:24] Do you know how long he was in jail for [00:04:26] not sure. [00:04:28] At the who he we had in St. Andrew's church, who he broke down when he was telling us a story. Very moving
